While being single and pregnant what are ways you comfort yourself?

I’m towards the end and I get so sad sometimes. It would be so much easier to just have someone hold you sometimes and tell you everything is going to be okay. I guess my anxiety is going up.

I’m not sure what kind of relationship you got out of, if something else happened etc but I came from a very abusive relationship so the thing that comforted me was telling myself I get to raise my son how I want now, and I get to teach him how to treat others and find other ways to control his anger if that was to come. But when I thought I was having a girl I would tell myself, I’m leaving so she won’t have to think this is what love is supposed to be like (the first gender appointment was a little early so the ultrasound was off)

Keep working if you still are. Go on holiday. Take lots of naps and watch movies. Distract yourself with baby shopping.

Eating good food. Nesting and getting what YOU want for the baby. Yoga

I’ve pulled out my old teddy stash from when I was younger and wrap myself in a fluffy blanket, it may seem childish but it is so grounding for me

@Bex 😂 maybe I should do that again I stopped sleeping w my teddy bear 😭

Get the guy out again the bear will be sad. And then we have our scent on it and can give it to the baby for naps (not when you can’t keep half an eye on them tho)

@Bex yesss I’ll do just that lol thanks

It’s so difficult I’m going through this now. I find support in my village and new friends. Get excited about the baby I feel like I’m giving birth to the love of my life so who cares. Feel free to connect.

Yes my village did there thing when it came to me. They threw me a baby shower because I didn’t want one because I was toooo sad and it brighten up my day I’m still amazed at the detail the thought and effort 🥰 I binged watched a lot of shows talked to my baby a lot apologized a lot to her in my belly reassuring her that she is loved heavy and we are going to have a great time when she gets out my belly. The moment you see your baby everything melts away. I had a c section and the moment that she came out she screamed for me and I said I’m right here baby and she became so calm. Such a core moment. Embrace it all it goes by quick my girl is 3 months and thriving already. Planning our outfit for Halloween and pumpkin patch photos the experience is what you make it 💝 all single

@Lia aww so sweet 🥹☺️☺️

i look at the amount of couples who argue over who gets up with the baby, the amount of women who feel like their partners aren’t supportive at all pregnancy and pp there’s plenty in this group who’s bfs/husbands are cheating, being controlling with money, saying horrible things about pp bodies, and i’m just glad i don’t have to deal with any of that, when baby’s born there’s no expectation for help so i can’t be disappointed, i’m going to be doing everything myself but there’s no one there who could do it but won’t and no one to create more mess. i’m completely independent and i love it

@Anna that’s so true !! It’s better to be alone then be with someone that makes you feel alone and outs u through trouble
