Scans

My OB is not doing any scans ( last 2 visits) and only checking heartbeat and if needed blood work. I am 31 weeks along, when is the next scan usually?

My next scan is 32 weeks! Tomorrow is 30.5 weeks for me and just having a regular prenatal. I went for an elective ultrasound last weekend cuz I couldn’t wait lol

Unless you're high risk your next sonogram wouldn't be until 36 weeks. It's pretty common for typical pregnancy. It's only if you're having health complications or they suspect something is wrong with baby that you'll be sent for scans.

I last had one at 20 weeks and getting one more one at 36 weeks to check positioning

Somewhere between 36-38 weeks is usually when the last scan is done. It’s where they check estimates for weight and position. Typically if you aren’t high risk or having something specific checked you only have 2 your entire pregnancy.

Unless you are high risk and have a need of lore scans it is likely you won’t have another one at all. They might do one when you are closer to birth to see if baby is breech but they have other ways of checking position so they may not

At my 32 week appointment they told me I wouldn't be having any more scans unless they think baby is positioned funny or my blood work came back odd

I have had a scan every month since June, and I am low risk. My next scan is next Friday, and I’ll be 33 weeks and 2 days. I can’t complain; my OB has been good to me.

I’m only having a growth scan at 32 weeks because I’m high risk for placental issues. Other than that, I’ve only had the standard dating scan and anatomy scans (I had a second one to check baby’s heart in-depth). With my first, i only had a super quick scan around 34-36 weeks to make sure she was head down.

I had one right at 8 weeks, one at 12, one at 20, and now they scheduled a growth scan at 32 to make sure everything looks good 🤷‍♀️

Im a Hugh risk pregnancy so iam seen every week for ultrasounds and every week in the ob office. However if I didn't have pre medical conditions and I wasn't high risk my doctor wouldn't do another scan til 36 or 38 weeks
