Will I cause a fire?🫣

I put the slow cooker on high at 3pm as I completely forgot about dinner and needed it done within 3hrs. I ended up taking a trip to hospital and I'm still here at 11pm and the slow cooker is still on high. Would it be fine??? I don't care if the food gets burnt or whatever 😅

I don’t think that’s safe it would be different if it was on low or warm but high is scary

Usually there is a timer that automatically flips to warm. My new one does and my mums does and it about 20 years old. Different brands

Hopefully you're home now and everything was OK?

Thanks everyone. Definitely scary I was panicking the whole time but all was good, it was just very..well cooked 🙃🤣

lol okay good yeah I would of been panicking too lol but another thing is I read slow cookers automatically turn off after 24hours
