My doctor told us that live birth rates are the same. Since my periods are regular and I have no other condition, I opted for modified natural (progesterone only). I only had to test for the LH surge and had 1 scan.

We did modified natural. The success rate at my clinic was the same and I knew the risk of preeclampsia was higher with medicated and I wanted to reduce that risk.

Like the previous comments, I have been told the success rate is the same. I therefore chose a modified natural with letrozole. It is a lot less disruptive as in a medicated cycle, you have to use medication including progesterone injections up to 12 weeks pregnancy. With natural or natural modified, you only need to use pessaries until 8-12 weeks (a lot less heavy/ invasive). Medicated are usually chosen if: - you don’t have a regular cycle or struggle to build thick enough lining - your clinic needs to schedule you in in advance / doesn’t have the flexibility to work with natural (you can’t plan the exact ovulation day!) . There is no wrong choice, only what works better for you 😊xxx

Thanks ladies! xx My periods before this recent one after the IVF cycle has been 31-35 days, I think that's regular? I don't really have an issue with lining although as my cycle is a bit longer, I tend to ovulate only from days 16-19. OPKs don't work well for me and is stress -inducing so maybe I should ask for natural modified with a trigger? I hope my cycle and hormones isn't messed up now after the IVF cycle. 🙏🏻 Did you use Progesterone in Oil ? I heard there's much better success than just using the pressies.

I'd ask your clinic for advise but a trigger sounds sensible. If you're having a natural modified you don't need PIO, pessaries are enough and just for safety anyway. My clinic told me to stop them on test day, the corpus luteum from ovulation is already producing progesterone naturally. I used Lubion on top of cyclogest for my fresh cycle and I hated it.

I just did a modified natural and it worked 🙌🏻 I did two medicated in 2022 that failed. It’s much much nicer with less drugs

Thank you Vit and Hollie! Yes indeed I hope to not have that much medication if possible, especially if it is not necessary.

I had one natural modified (Progesteron) and it worked and one completely natural as I am still breastfeeding my first. I’m 10 weeks pregnant, also had late ovulation this time (day 18) but it worked out fine :)
