Sorry message is so long lol! My point is, these scans are not 100% accurate and air on the side of caution so if anything is picked up they would rather investigate and it be wrong and prepared than ignore a potential issue. My consultant said if everything else is growing as it should the head should be following as there would be signs elsewhere. He said to me they do so many growth scans for the 1-2% of people that really need them for various reasons and to start planning for treatment etc, he said but the 98% of people that have healthy pregnancies they cause unnecessary worries to as there will always be something that someone will see dependent on the day etc. But they have to check everyone the same because they don’t know who is the 1-2%. Don’t stress, however baby is going to come they are going to come. And they will be perfect no matter what x
@Kimberleigh tbf i have a lot of doubt when it comes to the health professionals as in my last pregnancy i had symptoms of pre eclampsia that they chose not to investigate until it was too late. But thank u for your experience, ive done some research and i know im not alone and like you said, its just a case of waiting to see. She did mention babys head being low, but she also said on the pictures they did manage to get a full look at his head so in my case i dont think its that ☹️still, lets stay positive and i'll be praying for our babies! Good luck everything xx
Hey! So I have just finished my round of growth scans! I went in for reduced movements it triggered a scan. The first one they told me my baby was huge 4lb 9oz at 30 weeks. Tested for diabetes all negative. 2 weeks later she was measuring 5lb 2oz so they were then concerned she wasn’t growing enough and that it was static. 2 weeks later everything was growing fine apart from her head. They told me her head was so low that the reading may not be accurate. They still measured her head and then this flagged up her head not growing. Yesterday I had my final scan and the sonographer refused to measure babies head. She said that head is so far down and out of reach that any measurement I take will be wrong and will look like something is going on when it is 90% not. So all the other growth looked good so no one seemed to be worried about it. I guess we will find out when she comes. The first scan was completely wrong and then there was errors with the following! My point is cont
