Forest school 🌳

Is anybody sending their LO? Mine is currently at a ‘regular’ nursery four days a week; once she turns two she’ll be old enough to attend our local forest school so we’re planning to do 50/50, two days a week at each. It feels like a big change and would love to know if anybody else is planning similar.

We're not doing nursery til she's 3, but there are plans for a forest nursery in my town so I'm hoping it'll be ready when she is. We go to a few parent and child groups and she always wants to be outside instead of taking part in the activities so it feels like a good choice for her. Don't know too much about it yet though.

@Isla mine loves being outside too, and she loves leaves, twigs, flowers, plants. I think she finds mainstream nursery a bit overstimulating sometimes and the forest school looks a lot more spacious and relaxed. I love their ethos and activities. I just feel a bit bad starting her in the middle of winter! 🥶 🤣

My boy currently attends at a childminders 3 days a week and he absolutely loves it and is thriving there. We are also planning to start forest school in January but I am so torn whether to reduce the CM days or to add an additional day.. I’m off on mat leave with baby 2 so enjoy having chaos 2 days a week 🤣😖 also don’t want to disrupt an environment he adores.. tough call 🤷🏽‍♀️
