They can range I have one booked it’s costing £70 but I’ve seen between £60-£120 xx going to an independent one near me x

They are expensive (£50ish on the low end, up to over £100 depending on location) and it's worth noting that they are usually not being done by medical professionals so you should take any results with a pinch of salt. When it goes well, it's pretty cool though. I had one with my first and will probably have one with my current pregnancy as well once I'm past the 7 week mark (no point in going earlier) x

I’ve booked in with a local place with NHS trained staff for £50 xx

I found one in Glasgow for £55 for an early scan called babyscanning

I went to window to the womb for mine there amazing and I’ll be going again there worth every penny and always have offers on x

I had a private scan with window to the womb, definitely recommend waiting till your 7+ weeks though because mine only showed a tiny little blob as I was a little earlier than I thought. It cost me £90. Still worth it for piece of mind, it didn’t feel real at first 🙈 so nice to have it all confirmed as the wait for your first midwife appointment is sooooo long! X

@Charlotte Was window to the womb an internal scan? X

@Kiran yes till 10 weeks I think they say xx

I had one at window to the womb this afternoon at exactly 6 weeks and got to see the heartbeat!

You can have an early scan at your hospital too. We did it at our hospital with the NHS - our hospital runs an early reassurance scan programme every Tuesday evening. Cost like £60-£70, from 6 weeks onward. Cheaper than private. Check if your hospital does it!

@Alexandra ohhh, good to know. Thanks

@Becca yeah i get that. my midwife appointment is next week. i’ll be nearly nine weeks. i found out at 3+ weeks so feels like an age!
