Aww congrats Katie, he’s gorgeous, hope you’re both doing well. We had the same due date, 13/09 , but I’m still waiting for my little boy, he’s way too comfy 😭🩵 if you don’t mind me asking, did you go into spontaneous labour? Xx

@Tasia hey lovely, I did end up getting induced in the end, we went in for reduced movements at 40+1 and as this wasn’t the first time the best option was to get him out, so I had a stretch and sweep at 40+1 and then went home to see if anything progressed and then came back into hospital the next day and had the balloon induction to help break my waters, this took me to 2cm dilated which was enough to break them, once they were broken things ramped up pretty quickly, was offered the hormone drip immediately but declined hoping my body would go into spontaneous labour after waters which it did, I then got to 5cm without pain relief just using the ball, and then went on gas and air, had a diamorph injection at 7cm and then was ready to push 7 and a half hours total labour and did end up having an episiotomy to help him out, but all stitched up and home within 5 hours after him being born! At around 10am!
