Vitamin D drop

I mixed the vitamin D drops with formula , my newborn decided not to finish the whole enter bottle but drank most of it . Is that okay for today ? I will mix it next with breastfeeding!!

It’ll be ok! Dont add more later, better not to overdose. Baby should be totally fine even missing one whole dose.

I feel guilty. I forget to give my son always

Since when do we give our babies vitamin d drops? I have never done this lol

I thought formula already had vitamin d added. Only breastfed babies need Vitamin D drops was what I was told

@Rebecca it was recommended by the MCH nurse who conducted the home visit for my daughter and I just the week after her birth. I was told to give her 1 vitamin D drop daily until she's a year old. I drop it onto my nipple right before nursing her because I'm breastfeeding. Edit: I just looked it up and it's also recommended for formula fed babies who are getting less than 32 oz of formula a day. Incog, next time try putting the drop onto the tip of the bottle before feeding her, rather than mixing it into the formula. Or you can put it onto a dummy if your baby uses dummies. That way you can ensure baby gets the full dosage even if he/she doesn't finish the full feed 😊

@Carolyn that’s really helpful thank you

@Ese same!🤧😭

Im so confused of the measuring

It say 25ml

But it only goes to 5ml

I must be reading it wrong

@Ese same 👀

I was told baby doesn't need the drops if given formula as already in it xx
