Yes, I usually do an actual lesson with my 5 year old and 3 year old for about 10 minutes each and then we read books whenever we have time, cook together, and I answer whatever sciencey questions they have whenever they arise 😅
It is one of those things that you plan, then try, then make changes, and try again. You will figure it out! It won't be perfect at first. You just have to find what works for you and your family!
Errands and house chores are part of homeschooling. We always talk about the receipt from the store and discuss how much taxes are taken out. Also, she likes to follow along the route if I have to enter an address in the gps. We talk about north and south.
The good thing about homeschooling is it doesn’t take as long as in person school, I’m in my junior year and it’s takes me 2 hours max to finish all my work. Elementary only needs abt 30 minutes to an hour for actual school, you can work it through your day, like letting them add up the grocery’s an letting them do hands on activities with you like helping measure when you cook depending on the age ofc, they only need math an language arts in the first few years tho
