Fundal height

Has anyone found that fundal height predicts the final weight of you baby accurately? Our little girl was measuring perfectly in the middle at her 20 week scan but I’ve just had my fundal height measured at 29cm which predicts a baby weight of 4kg at 40 weeks! Is this accurate?

Fundal height doesn’t take into account fluid or your own general weight/body fat percentage and things! There’s so much more inside of there that a simple tummy measurement can’t predict. I was measuring 34 weeks when I was only 28 weeks - it turns out I had lots of extra fluid at the time! They usually say 1cm per week so 29cm suggests 29 weeks but isn’t necessarily accurate. Have they suggested a growth scan for you? X

Nope…. I was measuring “perfectly average” the whole time and ended up with a 9lb 12oz baby xx

I think it depends for both my pregnancies the estimated fetal weight they predicted was pretty accurate only off by some oz’s so i’m hoping they’re accurate with the third pregnancy too
