Does a NIPT show the sex of the fetus ? Asking because I had told the office I wanted the results in an envelope & it looks like I got an email saying my lap corps results are ready I don’t want to click it if it’ll show the gender . I’m trying to contact the office but at the moment no one is picking up .

Yes it does usually if you don't want to know then the doctor might say don't scroll down on the report if you don't want to find out the gender.

Can you have someone else open the results and tell you everything except for the gender?

@Taylor ok thank you for replying … kind of disappointing though because I thought they would call me to pick an envelope up with the gender ..

You can request it be printed and put in an envelope during your next visit,I work at an ob office and have done this for patients I’m a medical assistant:)

@Maria this pregnancy my partner & I have kept strictly to ourselves his birthday is in Thursday so we were going to do an intimate gender reveal on his birthday per his request

Yes it does just make sure to let your provider and ultrasound techs know that you’re not ready to find out the gender. Mine always asks but it’s better to be on the safe side
