Pilates

Hi ladies, random question. For those who do or have done Pilates, I’d love to know if you enjoy it or not and why. I’m 7 months postpartum with my second and want to tone up all around. My stomach also feels so weak and could use more muscle again.

Hey I love it! But be careful if you have diastasis recti because there is so much core work and it’s important to heal your muscles

I go to classes a couple of times a week, I like how I feel after it. The class itself not really 😂 it depends on the instructor, I have been to very easy ones to but the one I go to now is tough. It is good for core work though and worth a try for sure.

Pilates is THE BEST!!! You’ll see the best results if you’re going min 3 times a week but honestly any amount is great. A lot of Pilates studios offer pre & post partum classes with instructors who are especially trained in a mum’s needs - see if you can find one of those!

Pilates is great. But I also like dancing so I added Zumba and salsa to the mix which keeps me fit/coordinated and is an excuse for me to dress up and go out. Buy a yoga mat and type up Pilates workouts on YouTube and do it at home, or attend classes if that gives you more motivation. Or do a mix of both maybe home 2 days and a class 1 day a week.
