Placenta Previa?

Went for my 20 week ultrasound and the dr said “The placenta is Posterior and a previa at this time.” She needs me to go back in 5 weeks for another ultrasound, and it could possibly shift but if not then I wouldn’t be able to give birth naturally I would need a c section. Any moms have this &’ it go away? This is my second pregnancy didn’t have it with my first.

They said I also have a low lying placenta and I should go back at 28 weeks to check. I am scared

I’m in the same boat. I go back for an ultrasound when I’m 28 weeks. This is my third pregnancy and I’ve never had this happen before. I’m just remaining positive and taking it easy mentally.

Same here. Dr said that it typically moves as the baby gets bigger and the uterus grows between 20 and 28 weeks.

Had this at my 20 week ultrasound and it hadn’t budged by week 24. Hoping it’ll move by my week 28 ultrasound, but know that planned c sections are very safe and it sounds like there are a few of us who may be in this together!! This is my first and I’m already feeling a lot of potential regret for potentially not having access to a labor experience, but I know my baby is healthy and in good hands, which is most important!! (Generally, it is VERY likely for your placenta to move, and even more likely if you have a partial previa. Mine has been full at both recent ultrasounds 😥)

I had this with my first it moved by 28 weeks and had a natural delivery.
