I’m the same 39 plus 1, had a sweep on Thursday. Didn’t help 🤷♀️ I’m so over it now and just want baby here ! X
Also 38 weeks and feeling fed up, just want to meet her! I get cramps everyday that just turn into nothing 😭
40+3 with my second baby.... very low, heavy, and over it that's for sure. Hang in there!
@Kylie I had mine on Monday 9th at 38 weeks after over a week stuck in hospital Even though it was a CS delivery trust me days later I feel better than when I was pregnant! You’re nearly there! Xxx 🥂 to your almost there stage 😜
38 weeks is still early, so if it’s just based on discomfort then it’s very unlikely they’ll offer you anything, but i’m aware you can ask for sweeps as early as 39 weeks, but they don’t guarantee anything until baby is actually ready to trigger the proper release of hormones to trigger true labour - it’s so hard, but we’re almost there ❤️

You can ask for a sweep from 39 weeks but not all hospitals will let you. I asked last week and got refused. I had to wait until after my due date which was Saturday. Hoping to have one on Tuesday
I know it’s annoying waiting for baby but I don’t see what the rush is for a sweep. 🧹 I’m dying to get baby out but the least medical intervention the better … what’s the rush other than our impatience ? Apparently it’s natural for baby to go to 42 weeks 🫣
@Laura true but they won’t let you get to 42 weeks before they’ve tried some kind of intervention. 41 +5 is as far as they allow before an induction
40+6 today with my second baby 🙄 who we were all fretting might be an august baby! How wrong were we 🤣
@Skye I think this might be different depending on where you live. For a low risk birth here my midwife said 12 days past due date and they will intervene/offer induction
39+2 and trying everything to get things started. For us it’s because of childcare issues past this coming Thursday!, I’m actually not that uncomfortable. Which is probably a sign that nothing will happen anytime soon! 2nd baby. 1st came 4 days late

I’m the same - still technically 2 weeks left until the due date 🥲 but I’m just trying to enjoy the last few days get as much rest and let baby decide when they want to come. My next midwife appointment is 39+1 and have been offered a sweep, but other than that I just hope she’s born happy & healthy 💗

i started having sweeps at 38+5.. im 40 weeks today, had 3 sweeps and still no baby😅
I'm 41 weeks today. No signs at all. No mucous plug lost no braxton hicks. Starting to think she is planning on claiming squatters rights 🤔
39 weeks on Wednesday! I’m hoping she comes before the weekend or can wait till after cos my husband has Ironman and I don’t want him to miss it! I wake up every day so jealous of all the birth announcements! No signs yet just uncomfortable.
I’m 38 + 2 and the lightning crotch just walking around my house alone is awful. Not to mention the aches I get at night too.
Yep, I'm 39+5 and no signs apart from pressure below, been on the birthing ball every day but he doesn't seem to want to come out anytime soon!
