Bottles for hospital stay …

Hi there I’m a first time mum to be am due in 6 weeks, for medical reasons I am unable to breast feed so have decided to start with Kendamil Goats milk. I have a dairy intolerance and would like to give my daughter every chance of not having the same and so I believe Goats milk is more gentle for her to digest initially before I start introducing cows milk - this would be my preferred plan. My concern is what to do when I go into hospital for her arrival? Pre made bottles are not available in Goats formula for me to take in and I understand making bottles at the hospital isn’t normally an option (Stoke Mandeville will be where I deliver if anyone has any more knowledge on their rules here) Has anyone combi fed both Goats and Cows for a new born or had advice against using both types of formula which is another idea I had to reduce the amount of cows milk initially? Thanks in advance!

At my hospital, we only allow premade formula because there’s nowhere to sterilise or make bottles

Thanks for letting me know I should probably ask the midwife in advance.

I had my son at Stoke and I’ll be having my baby there too. I didn’t see anywhere to sterilise bottles. I had pre-made bottles until I left. The other thing to be aware of is even if they do have somewhere to sterilise bottles the midwives can be so busy it may take a while for them to get to you. I had a dairy intolerance too weirdly pregnancy makes my disappear but just to stay I couldn’t tolerate goats milk either. It made me feel worse than dairy.

Hi Tiana, thanks so much for letting me know - that’s really helpful
