Babies born when mums have GD

I was on insulin. Delivered at 39 weeks and baby was 8.9

My son was 9lb9oz's, but measured large my entire pregnancy. I remember going for a scan at 36 weeks and he was measuring at 42 weeks. I originally got told I'd be lucky if he was less than a stone so🤷🏼‍♀️😂 I was on metformin

I’m pregnant with GD, I’m almost 36 weeks and my baby is still growing at the same pace before I was diagnosed at 50th centile. I control the GD with diet and meds which they say is why she’s not a ‘big baby’ x

Had diet controlled GD and ended up being induced for restricted growth and my baby was around 6lbs at 38 weeks 😂 Ironically she was on the smaller side after everyone saying she would be massive. GD doesn't automatically mean baby will be big ❤️

My 2nd was a diet controlled GD baby she was 6lbs even she was My only GD baby I'm currently having another GD baby but she's on the bigger side

I was told my baby was going to be 10lb+ when I was diagnosed at 37 weeks (which was a scary thought as I’m small), but I remained diet controlled and he came out 7lb1oz!

1st - diet controlled GD, baby born 37+4, weighing 7lb 11oz 2nd - metformin & insulin GD, baby estimated measuring 34 weeks at only 30 weeks 😳

Amazing thanks guys making me feel a bit better! I’m newly diagnosed and only 27 weeks, he was measuring 2lb 2 oz at 25+6, I’m being so so strict with my diet but I’m struggling to get it under control so it’s just worrying me a bit! Xxx

Honestly don't stress! Just try your best and remember to reach out to the diabetic team if you have any issues. Later in pregnancy it naturally gets harder to keep your sugars under control so they'll offer you medication to help if you need it😊xxx

I had 2 gd pregnancies and my boys were 9lb6.5 at 37+6 weeks and 9lb3 at 38 weeks

I had other complications and was induced at 36 weeks. She was 9lbs 6.9 oz. Now she is in the 46th percentile for weight and the 87th percentile for height.

I had late GD diagnosed at 28 weeks and was on insulin. Baby always measured bang on average. I had an elective at 37+1 ( I had the additional risk of being a lot older) and she was 6lb 12oz when she was born

I was on insulin. Induced at 38+1, she was 7lbs11

Diet controlled 6lbs 3oz born at 40 weeks

I was diagnosed late 35 weeks with my first and he was born at 38+5 weighing 6lb15oz My little girl was born in August at 39+5 and weighed 6lb5oz I was diet controlled with both pregnancies xx

GD - on insulin because my fasting numbers didn't go down (day numbers were normal). Became allergic to insulin. Scheduled C at 37w+4d. Baby girl was 6 pounds.

On meteformin, 6 week early at 7lb 7oz

8.2 lbs♥️at 38+5 weeks- diet control

1st was 8lb 12 oz (predicted to be big) 2nd was 6lb 7 oz, GD both times it doesn’t always mean big baby

My first was 6lbs 6oz born at 39 weeks, on Metformin and insulin.

With my first, I was diagnosed at 29 weeks. I was diet controlled during the day and on 2 units of insulin for fasting numbers at night. Baby was estimated to be around 9.5lb. He was born at 38+3 weighing 7lb 6oz. With my second, I was diagnosed at 13 weeks. Again, diet controlled during the day and 3 units of insulin at bedtime for fasting numbers. Baby was estimated to be over 9lb and he was born at exactly 39 weeks weighing 7lb 8oz.

Was on insulin born at 39 weeks 7 pounds 5 ounces

My GD baby and the biggest of all my babies was 7lb 6oz

I had my daughter at 35 weeks she was 6lb 13oz, and had my son at 37 weeks, he was 8lb 1oz. Both pregnancies was diet controlled xx

Metformin. Born at 38+1 6lb 6oz

My daughter I had GD with, diet controlled and she was born at 38+5 and she was 5lb14oz x

I had gd with baby #1 and possibly baby #3 (test was positive but not sure if medication had interfered with results). They were 7lb & 6lb2. My non GD baby was 9lb2 so they was both significantly smaller x
