When does it get easier?….

I have an almost 3 yo and a 1 mo baby and I feel like I’m drowning. I don’t have family nearby and my friends are all at least 30 min away and they’re busy moms too. If you have more than 1 kid, when did things start feeling manageable? It’s so hard keeping the toddler entertained/fed/happy, the baby won’t nap unless I’m holding him, and I barely remember to take care of myself. We want more kids but this is way harder than I ever imagined…..

Hey mama! I have a 2.5 year old and 4 month old. I literally never imagined how hard it would be. I dont have family or friends nearby either. Things are still difficult but things started to get easier when my baby turned 8 weeks old. I still can’t find a good balance and some days are better than others but you will start to find a rhythm. In the meantime be kind to yourself. And feel free to message me if you ever want to chat. ❤️

I don't know, I'm just commenting to empathize with you a little bit. I have a stepson, and am currently 36 weeks pregnant with my own baby. My husband recently reinjured his back, so he can't do much physical stuff. I already feel extremely exhausted whenever we have my stepson, so I don't know how I'm gonna do it when we have the baby 😵‍💫

Dreading how hard this will be. I have a 2 year old and am 16 weeks pregnant. We just moved cross country, so I am in alien territory away from the people I know and love. I imagine it will take the baby sleeping through most the night for me to be okay, but that tool 4 months with my current son.

Hopefully soon because I’m going insane! I have a 5m old and 7 year old and it’s hard. The baby hates the car and screams and cries the whole way, my oldest is in school so the car is impossible to avoid. Oldest is becoming sassy as can be. Baby is a Velcro baby and can’t be put down. I’m losing it lol

i can relate to you so much! i have a 22 month old and a 3 month old, i have no friends and my closest family member lives 40 minutes away from me. i leave the house about once a week as i can’t drive and my partner works full time. i feel isolated allllll the time. my 3 month old wants to be held 24/7 but i can’t do that or else my toddler feels put out, so i’m still trying to find that balance with both children. i only ever wanted two children and thank god because i couldn’t have anymore, it’s hard work! i honestly admire anyone who has 2+ children. my partner had a vasectomy after our second 🙌🏻 i love my children more than anything, but it is hard. i know it’ll get easier as they get older, i just keep telling myself that this stage isn’t forever ✨ keep going mama! don’t be afraid to reach out if you’re struggling, you’re not alone x

Im right here with you. I’ve got a 9 year old, 2 year old and newborn (just over a week). It’s really intense at times, my toddler is struggling to understand why she needs to wait. I just keep saying ‘when I’ve finished feeding the baby we’ll do x’ I had a c section so really struggled the first few days but it’s getting easier. I think it’s good to keep reminding yourself that this season will soon pass, for now just do the bare minimum. Our tv is currently on most of the day and iPad is allowed when toddler asks. Try and get some rest when your partner is around too. It won’t last forever , hang in there x

Also forgot to add - have you got a baby carrier? Might help to have baby in that so you are hands free for toddler?

@Abbie thanks this is very encouraging to hear. I do have carrier and wear him as much as I can but sometimes I just get overstimulated or I just don’t want to deal with taking him in and out because of the diaper changes.

Fellow two under two here. It’s hard. Some days it seems impossible. Some days I feel like all I do is yell at my toddler and when he is asleep I blame myself for it. Just a reminder that regardless of anything you are doing the best you can. Give yourself grace. You got this. Can’t tell you when it will get easier cause I would like to know myself. I have some family here but my 23 month old wants no one but mom all the time. My almost 3 month old want to be held all the time too which is normal. We are all learning and adjusting
