SAHM, what are you guys doing with baby all day?

He loves his love every play gym. But I’m wondering if it’s becoming repetitive. Or Maybe it’s just me 😅 Wondering if I should pay for the subscription. Thoughts? Or has anyone tried Curious Baby Activity cards?

I feel the same lol. I received some additional Montessori toys and he loves them. We got like a tissue box style where he pulls out some crinkle fabric “cards” with fruit and animals on them. He also got some fidget spinner like toys which have suction cups and suction it to the ground or floor and perfect for tummy time.

Ooh are all those from Lovevery?

I have the same feeling about things becoming repetitive. I ended up buying some elastic ribbon to tie more things to the Lovevery play gym, and I can mix things up for her. Of course, I keep an eye on her with the elastic, but it's triple knotted. I got one of the tissue boxes with crinkle tissues (Peter Rabbit themed, found on Amazon, super cute), which she doesn't pull them out yet, but she loves exploring the fabric. She has a couple of random squares of fabric to play with. Plus different rattles and balls to play with. She has a music box by Hape that she loves watching, and the GUND brand animated baby elephant that sings and plays hide and seek. We've started doing baby yoga and she likes to watch my sing and dance. I got some ideas from a Montessori mom video (can't remember the creator, but her videos pop up a lot for Montessori babies). But she's only 4 months, so there's only so much she can do.

@Jassmine baby yoga sounds fun! Thanks for the ideas! Will have to give that a try one day. I realize repetition is good for kids to learn and he seems excited no matter what we do. It’s probably just me being a the adult getting bored of doing the same things and wondering if I need to be doing more or if I’m doing enough.

@Jamie I have found my baby gets bored (cries when put on them) of things (play gym, swing, etc) and so I take them out of rotation for a few days, then when I reintroduce them she loves them again. So you might not be too far off.

@Jamie is not sure what they’re called but I believe they were from Amazon

We just talk to our son and bring him around with us as we do house stuff. I do more than my husband, and explain everything I'm doing and show him all the items im using and explain those. You don't have to just entertain them all the time. Do the things you need to do and talk about that. They don't know anything about the world and it's interesting.

Basically whatever I want/can while taking the baby into consideration. She's my little bestie. My favorite is jamming out to music with her while I do chores and she's in her swing

@Venesa @Dalia thanks for sharing! I do the same. We walk, talk, and sing a lot outside of floor time. He just started tolerating being in a baby carrier so Ive had to carry him everywhere with me. not too many chores I can do but whenever I can I bring the baby bjorn bouncer and have him sit and watch.
