On average what is everyone's monthly food shop cost?

We try to keep ours to £500 per month to afford nursery fees 😓

In the region of £500-£600. It's disgusting! That's including toiletries, washing powders etc as and when needed. 2 adults, one toddler and a baby. I swear the toddler eats hundreds of pounds of fruit a month 🤣

Around 3k

Sorry forgot to add family of 4

£120ish a week for a family of 3 including cleaning products, toiletries and the odd clothing item

Also about £120 a week. 2 adults, 3yo and an 8mo + a dog

Around £80 a week for essentials for a family of 3/4 (if my stepson is here) plus animals. We do a lot of cooking from scratch as it’s cheaper. Sometimes we will treat ourselves though and it will be more like £100.

£120-£140 a week for 2 adults, 9 month old and a cat. I could probably get it down to 90-100 but the Aldi middle aisle has me in a chokehold

£90-110 per week depending on cleaning stuff ect for a 2 adults and a toddler. We shop at ocado which is expensive but the fresh stuff last longer so our wastage has gone down, we are quite good at meal planning and have calmed down on takeaways and snacks.

We spend around £120 a fortnight that’s including toiletries & laundry detergent. That’s for 2 adults & a 2 year old. We have a dog but don’t buy his food with food shopping

£350 2 adults 1 toddler

We usually spend about 600 a month, I get hello fresh boxes weekly, 300 a month, which I feel like actually breaks even with what would be the cost of groceries for those meals and then we end up spending about 300 more at grocery stores

£150 a week roughly- 2 adults + 1 toddler

About &560

£80 a week. 2 adults and 2 toddlers x

About £60 a week - 2 adults and a toddler. The differences on here are wild. I don’t understand how some people spend so much!

£150 a week not including take out or eating out… family of 3 🙃

Its me and my 10 month old and cant effort more then £100 a month Only got UC so cant effort anything at the moment 🙃🫣

I’m gluten intolerant which adds quite a bit 😩 we tend to be around £700 a month.

I’d say around £500 a month for 2 adults and 2 cats x

About £80/week for 2 adults and a toddler

Between £60 and £100 a week for two adults, toddler and a dog, covers all food, cleaning products and toiletries. I cook everything from scratch and also batch cook, I aim to make two dinners a week without meat which really helps keep the cost down.

400 a month for everything

We budget £800-£1000 a month. Family of 2 adults, 2 children ( 4 year old & nearly 11 months old) & 1 cat. 🤷🏼‍♀️

£80 per week for 2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby. This may be more if extra cleaning products etc are needed. We get the minimum (all own brand) xx

I think the price of meat is horrific which really pushes our shopping up, going to trial some veggie alternatives x

I try to keep it to £75 per week as a family of 3

We only have £450 a month that we put into a separate pot in our bank to spend on food for 2 adults, 1 toddler we physically don't have anymore to spend. We tend to make up dump bags for the week so arent wasting any half used veggies etc and only buy what is on our meal plan for the week.

We aim for an average price of £80 a week for the two of us and our 3 year old daughter. Most weeks we hit it, others not so much

Somewhere around £70-£90 per week, depending on if we need cleaning supplies/ toiletries, that’s for a family of 3.

Around £150-£200 for two adults and a 9 month old. That includes all toiletries etc, doesn’t include the dogs, that makes it much more expensive 😅

@Becky how on earth do you spend £50 a week on food?! Tell me your secret!

@Rachel bulk cook things… 500g of mince with lots of veg will easily do 3-4 meals. We don’t waste a lot so like broccoli stalks will go in curry’s/mince/etc. we buy chicken thighs and debone them because it’s a lot cheaper and they can be roasted or made into curry’s or other things. We don’t shop weekly most of the time, tend to do every other week and that will last, anything we don’t eat will go in freezer so we have easy ready meals for days we need something quick. To be honest I’m just lucky my other half can make a lot with nothing so we really don’t need a lot. We also have chickens so never need to buy eggs and during the warmer months we try to grow what we can, didn’t manage it this year because of baby arriving but last year we got rid of a lot of our lawn and managed to grow potatoes that lasted us till almost Christmas. Takes a bit of planning but saves a lot of money

£300 a month but I normally shop 3 shops so get bits from everywhere So food Lidl £150 Tesco bits I can’t get in Lidl Home bargain for the cleaning essentials

£60 every 2 weeks and then about £30 top up every week. So about £180 every month. My partner works in the day so he gets lunch out and I work part time so I have lunch at work meaning we only really need tea most days because we both don’t eat breakfast
