In my nursery the parents don't go in the room, they wait at the door and they bring the child to them. But I work in my boy's nursery, so I can just go in his room to pick him up lol
Yes
At my nursery we go into the room or garden where they are x
No, parents collected from the front door.
We go to his room to pick him up.
No, as a safeguarding protection we wait at the gate and staff bring the children to us. However, the children are often playing outside at pick-up time so I get to see my little one happily playing. To be honest I think you can tell by how your little one is at drop-off and pick-up whether they’re happy there 😊
We pick her up at the door as well, and she is always so happy 😊
Drop off is at the door but pick up parents go to the classroom. I get a few minutes debrief on her day and what she’s eaten, done, etc. I can talk to staff, collect her things, see the timetable and menu for the month
It depends, if they know it’s me ringing the bell and they don’t have their hands full, I can walk in to the room. Most of the time they walk out with my little one.
We can go to the room and pick him up 😊 ratio for babies is 3 babies to 1 staff xx
At the nursery my daughter goes to it’s always drop off and pick up at the front door. The first few times they let me go in to pick her up which made me feel better so I’m sure if you ask they wouldn’t mind for a few times.
We go into the room to pick them up, and receive handover from staff x
No we meet at the door. Something to do with safety of other children 🤷🏼♀️
The old nursery my baby attended drop off/pick up was at the front door as it was a very small building. The new nursery she’s at we can go into the room, but strictly no phones allowed inside the building. My partners sons nursery/preschool we can go into the building but wait at the door of the classroom x

No we’re not allowed into the room to pick up, they bring her out to me and give me a debrief on the day. I asked why we weren’t allowed inside and they said it’s health and safety reasons, and so other children don’t become upset asking where there parents are, I was unsure at first but she’s always brought out happy and we get a good debrief of her day and we also get regular updates and pictures on the app and they also do stay and play sessions sometimes for like Mother’s Day etc so we can go in then xx
Yes, at my nursery we always go in to collect and receive “handover” from the staff.
