Working out/ going gym

Before falling pregnant I started to get really into gym and working out. I lost a few pounds and I think that’s why I fell pregnant? 🤷🏼‍♀️ But I really wanna get back into it before baby is born as I just wanna stay healthy and have an easier labour. Anyone goes to the gym now? My sickness is too bad for me to attend right now 😩 like taking my dogs for a walk sometimes makes me sick let alone a gym workout 🤣😩

I was playing Netball and doing 2 circuit training a week but now I've stopped playing Netball and at the minute stopped my circuit training as my morning sickness is through the roof 😩 I'm just sticking to daily walks at the moment 🚶but like yourself I want to remind active as much as possible throughout this pregnancy.

I hear you get much more energy and sickness subsides in your 2nd trimester, so hopefully you'll be feeling much more up to it soon!! I'm lucky I haven't had sickness so have been continuing as usual - I exercise a lot and it's very important to me to keep going but I have definitely scaled it back a bit - not aiming for any PBs in terms of what I lift or running times. I think you're doing the right thing by walking when you can and just don't put too much pressure on yourself. It's definitely good for you and baby to exercise, but if you can't, then you can't. Give it a couple of weeks and I reckon you'll be able to get gently back into it.

I go to gym & swim about 2-4 x a week (I was doing more before pregnancy) I listen to my body and go at a pace that’s suitable and don’t push it too much

I’m 9 weeks and I train with my PT weekly. We have had to adapt my training as your joints loosen so heavy weights are a no and not working to failure. He did say after 16 weeks I should avoid classes which is super sad
