Diet type

What type of diet have people found most effective? I’m trying the 1200 calorie a day.. but I’m struggling to find anything to keep me full I had bagel with cream cheese and salmon for breakfast (388 calories), meaning for lunch, I only had cucumber sticks and x5 slices of wafer thin ham as I need to save the rest for dinner 😕 how do people even do this 😫

When I did a calorie controlled diet before I'd have cereal for breakfast (120ish), salad, ham and rice cakes for lunch and then batch bake some meals to then divide into smaller portions for evening meal. I'd also drink plenty throughout the day if I got hungry. And try to drink before eating too. I'd also walk a lot so then if I walked more I'd allow myself more calories! However, back then I was single and child free so not sure what I'd do now!!! 😊

1200 calories is what a child should have. You need to up your calorie intake. I make sure I eat between 1600-1800 and I still lose weight, as long as you eat in moderation and do some form of exercise, you can lose weight x

I added more protein into my diet, like chicken and protein shakes, makes me feel fuller throughout the day when I have protein with every meal .

Protein yoghurts are low cal like Skyr type, add a load of berries.

1830 calories a day working out 4 times a week and 30 to 40 mg of protein per meal with at least one protein snack. No food groups off limits

I don’t count calories. I just know to choose the foods I’m eating wisely, (unprocessed cooked meals or if I’m lazy to cook then it’s sushi or tacos or PHO) drink a ton of water and I walk minimum 10k steps a day and some weights. More iron and protein as well I eat a lot of meat and chicken and fish and veggies. Soups. I take a big sip of water in between every couple bites as habit and that keeps me fuller without overeating. I also took up salsa dancing I go twice a week. (Monday is a paid structured lesson at a salsa school and Friday is a free random lesson w a social dance held in a club) Take up a physical hobby/class if you can Xx walk lots, spend your days out.

I do Herbalife! I meet my calorie count, macro count and nutrition goals. Let me knownif ypu want to try.

I’m also a Herbalife coach let me know if I can help , we have so many things to offer and also we have an app to work out at home and keep of your calories much more

@Kellie How do you manage 10k minimum steps a day? Do you walk around at work too? I have a desk job and I work from home so I have no time to go walking in the week 😫

Veggies and protein with every meal! I hate calorie counting with a passion can't and won't do it. Cap carbs at one serving per meal.

Ohhh you work. No I’m a sahm. Who’s never home. Even when I am home, I don’t sit unless I’m eating or it’s night time and everything’s done. Even when I was working, I didn’t have a desk job, I guess that’ll be your biggest struggle. You’ll have to incorporate some activity before or after work to burn more calories than you’re taking in for the day

@Kellie Yehh I work from home full time whilst looking after my 19m old 😫 so even before or after work, I still don’t have time 😭😭 I have considered getting one of the walking machines so I could do steps on an evening once she’s in bed but they’re so expensive lol

That. Or look for places to go out on the weekends so at least you’re getting your steps in 2 days of the week. And maybe, try to squeeze in a fitness or dance class on the weekend at night. That’ll help. Good luck

Also, look at Lucy Wyndham-Read on YouTube! She has workout videos, and some are only 5mins and so so easy to fit in your busy day! I work full time, and have two kiddies and always make sure I do at least 1x7 min workout a day!

Hey hun I’m a coach and I can help you get to your weight goals and help you keep count of the calories ♥️ send me a message hun

The trick to tge 1200 is load up for lunch. Breakfast was usually a coffee or tea, then a snack would be one slice of toast with jam, or half a bagel and cream cheese (sometimes with fruit) lunch was allllllllways heavier, like a steak and a starch. Then dinner was lighter like a salad or sandwich

Check your TDEE that will tell you how many calories you should be eating for your current weight and hight x

Up your calories, include more high protein and fat in your diet, less carbs. Increasing your daily activity, resistance training and sleep xx

High protein, low fat foods like lean meats (chicken is the best) fish, eggs, beans, peas, and lentils also fibre, will keep u fuller for longer things like switching to wholegrain bread and whole wheat pasta, potatoes are all lower in carbs and will also help regulate ur sugar levels too. U need carbs for a balanced diet. I've been doing this for a week and lost 5lbs already, and I haven't done any exercise apart from the usual walking I already do, calorie deficit works best. Try the my fitness pal app to track it, u can eat what u want (within reason) aslong as u stay with in your daily calories, you'll lose weight, good luck
