Recommend reading ‘oh crap potty training’ book, it really helped me with my first and goes through when your child is ‘ready’

@Rachael oh thank you :)

Second the book. Also have your SO and anyone else in the family/nanny who looks after your child to read it as well

Have the book too. Not ready yet but we have potty and step, read no more nappies regularly. Getting LB ready without being scared

I found the book helpful for signs of readiness and just generally understanding potty training but after one failed attempt at PT following the oh crap method, I don’t think I’ll be using it again. I didn’t like it!

When you think your little person is ready. We did it at 19 months :-) but every little person is different. I think you truly have to go with your gut then remain consistent with your approach 🙂

@Clarissa see the only im struggling is I want to start but he can't speak does that matter?

I don't think so, you could look up the BSL for it? Teach him that? I think some children do not speak but still communicate well so if that's him then go for it. It isn't a one way street. You can always try and see how it goes 🙂 no medals for doing it early! Just no more nappies which is definitely nice! X

@Clarissa ahh maybe, he is starting to say a few words slowly but at least he's saying them but I will see what the health visitor suggests aswell at his 2 year review :)

Good idea! I do find that they all have their personal opinions though as really YOU know your boy better than they do 😊 basically what I mean is take in mind that you may not agree with what they say and that's okay

oh I know, I will see they say but honestly thank you for your advice I really appreciate it :) x
