Birthday traditions

We are going to figure out what a birthday looks like for us since we have a Christmas eve baby! It's going to be simpler in some ways by not having to invite family But will also stink to have to swap off and decide which family/ what to do each birthday since everything will be closed day of 🤔

All of our kids make and decorate their own birthday cake for their birthday. They plan for months ahead of time and it’s something they look forward to all year! And when a younger sibling is too little then they plan for them and all work together. It’s really fun seeing what they choose each year as they grow older. We all also write lists of things we love about the birthday kid and then read them all during birthday breakfast; which is always donuts. 🥰

This baby is our only “Christmas time” baby so our older 3 kids have decided he shld have his own little Christmas tree every year but call it a birthday tree. So I think we’re going to do that as well.
