@Kya, thanks for your reply. I did all this when I was told to move to UC. I provided child care cost. Nursery contract. Receipts, everything.
you have to report childcare costs each month so they can calculate the amount you are owed in order to get up to 85% back
Okayy i understand now! I assumed uc worked the same as tax credits, where you declare ur childcare once and you receive that element every month automatically!
oh yes its very tedious, literally every month before the end of your test period they ask you to declare the costs & then upload evidence. if you dont do it unfortunately you dont get the costs back for that month
it wouldn’t be in your statement, you have to report and upload your childcare costs separately
