Mandatory Nursery Home Visit

I have been told by the nursery that it’s compulsory for them to do a home visit before start of nursery. Is this true? I don’t want to go back and forth with them. I find it invasive as well as I am currently doing some renovations in my home. What do I do? As I don’t want the home visit and have not applied to any other nursery.

I have never heard of a home visit from a nursery, sounds odd. Probably apply for another one!

I am already stressed out at the thought of going through another SEN application. I feel so tired with these waiting list 😩 questions etc lately I have been so down

My son goes to the nursery and we never had anyone from the nursery to visit our place, never heard from friends or cousins either..

I’ve never heard of private nurseries do home visits but I have heard of school nurseries do home visits in our area, we had ours last week and the teachers were only there for about 20 minutes just to talk about key things as they don’t tend to do setting sessions as such like a private nursery does, they asked about my sons likes and dislikes are, allergies, who would be collecting.
