We personally do 3 full days meaning I can do 3 full days in work and for the odd hours on a Friday for us nanny and granddad have our lb from 715 until 1pm then daddy goes and collects him as he finishes at 1230 every Friday and I don't work Mondays so we do what works for us you need to weigh up what you get more from (with the 30hrs we still have to pay for 1 hr each week term time and non term times have to pay) to add our lb has been been doing 3 full days since he was 1 he's now over 3yrs old and we have no melt downs nothing he enjoys going in playing learning eating everything in sight he no longer naps during the day either and is fully potty trained day and night he doesn't miss out on activities being in all day either whereas half days he would miss out on things as they wouldn't be able to take him off site incase they're back late etc

I would do 5 half days just to get a child in a routine, my friends son did 3 full days and it was a lot for him meltdown just because he was tired all the time so she switched to 5 half days and is doing much better. Depends also on the age , my friends son is 3 years old.

We will be doing 3 full days together and then Friday to Monday off. But I work 3 or 4 long shifts a week so works out better for me. It depends on what's best for your family xx

Jumping on your post… my son did 2 days a week 7:30-4pm for his 15 hours… he’s switched to 30 hours and our nursery is saying it’s now 7:30-5:45 and still only 2 days, we’re on stretched so he goes during holidays too… but it still doesn’t seem right to me? Or is it?

It all depends on how the nursery's choose to work the hours as they have to do it so they're still able to function legally and realistically ours don't offer extended 52 weeks it is just term time and we have to pay full amount non term time

I would say totally depends on your personal circumstances If you need them in nursery for three full days due to work or other commitments, don’t go for it if you can pick them up in the middle of the day for the half days then go for it. What will work better for your family?

Thanks everyone! I do have a choice because I am at home with my 2 year old. Just wanted to know which one would be a better option for the child
