Nursery

For us we needed a nursery that was close to where one of us worked, that had coverage from 7:30 until 6pm to cover our work patterns as needed and was open all year Not just term time. We also had word of mouth recommendations from friends. There’s not a lot of choice where we live but we’re really pleased with the one we went with.

Ofstead report/ rating (I wanted outstanding). Outdoor play, good staff to baby ratio (ours is 3 staff members in a room of 9 babies so no more than 3 babies to one staff member). Good healthy/ organic food. Good activities. At settling in sessions and pick ups I’d watch the other babies and see how happy they seemed/ how staff responded when they were crying etc x
