Nursery funding HELP
My lo will be starting nursery in January and will be 9 months old in march 2025, when am I supposed to be applying for the 9 hours free hours? It’s really confusing me on the internet 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

I think you’ll get the 15 free hours from summer term onwards. Then you’ll actually be eligible for 30 free hours from September 2025
If you are signed up for tax free childcare you normally get an email saying that you’re eligible to apply. If you’re not signed up it’s worth it. It saves a good chunk of money
@Emily so essentially for hours that are applied for, the code needs to be refreshed every 3 months so you renew your application. If you do it too soon, you'll just have to do it again before it's actually used!

You apply about a month before they're eligible but they'll be eligible the term after they turn 9 months so after the Easter holidays for the summer term usually!
