Recently my 12 month old has been hitting my face pretty hard and pulling hard at my ears while breastfeeding. It’s much more aggressive than the usual touching she’s always done. I’m not quite sure how to tell her that it’s not okay. I say no and put her down for a second until she calms down and then try again, but that’s not working.
I would move her hand away from your face look at your daughter in her eyes and directly say no hitting. Continue that each time she does it, she should eventually stop.
Try to ignore it and distract her. Removing her from the situation is great. She knows it gets your attention now, so just keep doing what you’re doing but without a reaction besides putting her down and changing activities.
