Nurseries

I'm planning on sending my little one to nursery once he's 9 months as I need to return to work, the fees are quite expensive though does anyone know if there's anything I can claim for or get help towards paying the nursery fees? Thanks 😫 I'm in the UK

Pretty sure from September 2024 you get 15hrs for 9months and over. If you work 30hrs or more. Check out this website for details. https://educationhub.blog.gov.uk/2024/09/02/how-to-claim-15-hours-free-childcare-code/

@Abigail oh thank you I'll have a look! Yeah I work more than 30 hours a week so hopefully can get that 😅 thank you!

You should also be able to get some tax back - search ‘tax free childcare’ :)

I think you can also get tax free childcare not sure but worth looking into

Follow Nugget on instagram, they have great info about maternity pay and nursery stuff 😊

I can’t see anything about it being more than 30 hours you have to work. I will be going back to work 25 hours a week so hoping I can qualify as my 2 year old currently gets it and that goes off my earnings as I am earning over £16k a year

@Francesca I might have got that wrong (I couldn’t remember all the details). It’s all on there or gov website x

Thanks all, I'll have a look! Can't believe how expensive it is 😬😫
