Trapped wind pain

Baby constantly wakes up from wind pain screaming. During most day naps and every hour overnight. He wakes screaming like he is in so much pain and then manages to get a fart out but he continues to scream. He takes drops which we noticed a definite improvement during day but overnight seems to be getting worse. We do bicycle kicks, tummy massage etc. any suggestions??

Are you formula or breast feeding? My daughter is formula and the dr suggested changing her formula to something more sensitive and that helped. Her bottles also made a difference for us

Breastfeeding

Have you had a look at what you’re eating and possibly cut out a few things to see if that makes a difference? Try cutting out dairy or foods like onions which can affect things, for a few days and see if you notice a difference. Also increase your water intake We never tried gripe water but used infacol which helped when our little one had the same issue x

Haven’t looked at diet no… can try the no dairy

Hey hey, sorry to hear your little one is having a rough time. My baby was having similar and I found cutting out excess dairy and also cutting out chocolate, onion, garlic, broccoli and cauliflower helped a lot. Also recommend colic tea from the Breastfeeding Tea Co. My baby never had colic but I found it helped with his wind. A lot of the reviews on the website say the same, helps for wind even if no colic. Hope you're able to find something that works for you soon
