Church

I really want to start going back to church, I’m a little nervous bringing my little one, I know they probably have the nursery but I’m scared someone in there won’t watch her properly. Would you trust a church nursery?

You should go back where u located at we go to Christian fellowship Baptist Church in gaston

Church are people too. thats a risk you take. You could not watch baby properly either. It's all risks. Up to you.

I take my LO into service,.,.most people I know do and then if they start crying or get fussy then take them to hall or bathroom.

How old is ur bby?

@honey 13months

We take ours and drop him off in the daycare area and he does great. They do criminal background checks on everybody who applies to work with children at our church, they also thoroughly vet them so I trust it. It’s the only place that he’s allowed to go into a daycare setting, as they also have cameras

If you can't trust a church nursery, who can you trust, really? I bet they'd let you stay and observe if you're feeling really anxious about it. Go and see how it feels when you actually get there. Talk to some of the other parents at the drop off area. If it doesn't feel like it's the right time, go home, or just hang out until service is over and talk to people after. The worst case is that you tried something that didn't work out, you felt a little silly and had a lame Sunday morning. The best case is it works great, you reconnect to something you love and it adds value to your life and your baby's too. Give it a try! You'll never know until you do. 😀

My kids do well at church and we help volunteer in there so we see how things go.

At my church all the workers in the kids and baby area are volunteers but they need to have a WWC (working w children’s) card which has a background check so yes I do trust them. And there’s more than 1 there’s like 3-4 people in there for every room (baby, toddler and kinder age) and if your baby is crying and need to be collected it calls you in print on their live big screens, you have an allocated number. “Parent of baby #6 please come and collect your child” etc. but my church also has a mums BF room w a live tv so we can sit in there and watch the whole service that way also.

I was so nervous to put my son in Sunday School, so I waited till he was 1. Now he's 2.5 years and absolutely loves it and asks to go back after we leave 😂! Churches have to follow strict policies (like daycares) about having multiple adults in the room, etc. I volunteer with the children in our church so I'm very familiar with all the policies and know that I can trust he's in good hands!

Stay with your little and talk with the staff to get to know them better, until you feel comfortable. Your mommy senses will tell you if anyone is not your cup of tea.

I trust my church nursery but going to a new church I probably wouldn’t. Honestly I don’t really trust most churches

My church is good
