I'm surprised by how the loneliness has hit me during the 4 months I've been off so far. I'm also in RCT but happy to meet to go to classes in cardiff. I recently met Sophie who does baby sensory in Cardiff and she was the first person who actually asked how I was.x

@Elinor I think the loneliness isn’t talked about enough! It’s the one thing I didn’t think about whilst I was pregnant and 10 weeks in and it’s really hitting me🙈 I will send you a message if you like and we can arrange to meet up for classes xx

My little boy is 7 days old and the loneliness for when my partner goes back to work is one of my main worries. Crying about it most days when it hasn't even happened yet. I'm in Cardiff too so happy to meet up in a few weeks when I'm not so new to this whole mum life xx

My little girl is 5 weeks old and my partner is also working mom-fri and also doing up our new house after work and on weekends so I can get really lonely too! Living in Newport xx

Do you drive? There is a great baby class starting in Ponty on Thursday which I went to a taster session for before the summer holidays. My LO is 20w but all my family are in Pembrokeshire & my husband works 5 days a week in office so I’m often alone with baby so understand the feelings of loneliness well. If you do drive and want to meet at the baby class let me know 😊 I live in Bridgend so only down the road & often bring baby for a walk around Roath Lake (usually with my friend and her LO but she’s gone back to work as of last week)

Hi I felt exactly the same thing ,best thing I done was go to baby classes it's nice to talk to mums who love talking about their babies 😊

@Emily thanks for the heads up. I’m 34 pregnant and looking for baby groups after I give birth as I’m worried about being lonely. What’s the name of the group in Ponty? I’m also Bridgend but would be willing to travel to get me out the house!
