Going cloth

Hi everyone I’m looking for some advise and help. I tried cloth with my first and just couldn’t get the hang of it and she just kept leaking that being said I only used the mamia Aldi cloth nappies with 2 boosters, but I am desperate to get it right and go fully cloth with my second due in February 2025. I use reusable pads and things myself but it feels a bit pointless not doing the same for my baby’s. Any advice of where to start again and best reusable wipes too ❤️

We found bum genius all in ones with one booster to be the best and my little girl was a very heavy wetter. We did use disposable at night though

I highly recommend prefolds. You can get them so cheap secondhand, and they are bombproof! The ones I got were Bambino Mio. Easy to fold, easy to fit, easy to wash, quick to dry. Just all round fantastic nappies.

@Liz are these good from newborn?

Yeah - you can get smaller ones for newborn but also possibly worth just using muslins from newborn. Fold and place inside a wrap. Bellz Bumz do a great wrap with a double gusset and slots either end to hold the prefold/muslin in place

@Liz are prefolds a brand or type of cloth sorry?

@Jo D haha that’s ok! They’re a type of cloth nappy. They are a rectangular shape, usually cotton, and have several layers of fabric - usually more in the middle.
