Baby talk….
My nearly 4 year old has started talking like a baby and I have no idea why! She was speaking before she was 1 and has never had a problem articulating herself but just recently she has started doing a ‘baby’ voice, mumbling and I have to ask her to repeat herself as I can’t understand her which upsets her and results in crying. It’s at any time as well not just when she’s tired.
I do try telling her she’s a big girl and doesn’t need to speak like a baby but she’s a defiant young lady already 🥲
Anyone else had the same / going through it?

My little girl is exactly the same! I was only talking to my husband about this this morning. Feel like some sort of regression is going on and I can’t put my finger on why! X

My little girl is the same age and also has recently started to do this. I’ve just put it down to my daughter playing up a little bit and I talk to her and tell her that unless she speaks to me properly like she usually does I can’t understand her to talk to her back. She will then ask mammy why aren’t you talking to me? I just say because I couldn’t understand you as you were talking like a baby and she responds by talking back to me in a normal way. She does this a few times a day and I don’t know why either.
