I have the same issue
We’re currently on day 5. He’s never been in daycare.
Hang out in the day care with him a couple of times. Once he gets used to it he will be more willing to play by himself.
I’d try baby play dates to get him used to children, other adults and you walking away for short periods. Keep extending away periods each time. Honestly the first couple times might be tough but get a workout in and I guarantee once you’re gone for 10-15 min, baby will be settled in
@Anna I wish I could but they don’t allow parents behind the gate!
I started with my daughter when she was 4 months old. I did it in 30 mins increments, now she's happy in there 2 hours if I want sauna and shower.
What gym do you go to?? Also I feel like they get use to being somewhere with out mom so I would keep trying until he see that the place is good and fun for him
@Sarah I try to let them settle him but they’ll send a texting saying that he’s having a hard time and to come back. And Chuze
With enough exposure (like repetitive times going) they should get used to it over time. My son is the same way and he would cry up and down when we would leave to workout down the hallway :( the worker said he would just be in the corner by himself cause he didn't want to go with the kids or workers lol it broke my heart but we decided to keep trying and he still gets weepy but twice now he walked in like he owned the place 🤣 plus they told us he was playing with the other kids and the worker too so he is improving! We've only gone about two weeks so far but had to stop cause we got sick but are going back once we are better. But yeah just wanted to share my experience since my LO has never been to daycare, this was his first time and hes 2. Good luck mama, hopefully they get used to it soon!🩷
