One of my sons needs items with him all the time. I tell him you can bring it in the car and he’s ok with that.
@Niki I think I’m improving on my communication with/ my son and it’s improving his melt downs ! He does constantly have his small cars in the car which are his current obsession and sunglasses and that’s been helping some days he hasn’t even asked to take anything in and some days it’s been a super mild meltdown ! Either is fine lol thank you for your response !
I don’t have any experience with this but wondering if you could get a little keychain toy that goes on his backpack that he could be able to see and know that it’s with him during the day? you would have to make sure he knows it has to stay in his backpack but instead of taking his favorite toys and losing them he could see his little keychain. or maybe a bracelet or watch? idk just ideas!
