Exercise after csection

Anyone know when you’re ok to start exercising again? I forgot to ask at my 6 week check and can’t get hold of the health visitor!

I asked at my 6 week appointment and GP said that because my wound had healed well and I was feeling good about it, I could exercise again - more than the walking I was already doing. She said to start slow though, and build it up. Low impact over high intensity. After 8-10weeks, if you feel good, you can do high intensity again :)

@Sami perfect thank you! 🥰

Highly recommend booking a mummy MOT with a physio to look at your abdominal muscles before you go the intensity

If your scar is healed and you feel ok then it should be fine. Generally around 10 weeks is recommended for c section. Just take it easy and go slowly with any movements that might pull around your scar. I’ve been following a postnatal plan which has body weight strength workouts and yoga for 4 weeks before then adding in weights and Pilates x

It all depends on how u have healed and how you are feeling in ur self if you feel ready and ur body has healed well then go for it but also do wait if you have any doubts that you're not ready yet it's not good to push ir self to early and end up hurting ur self and getting ur self put back on healing x
