Housekeeper Nanny in South Kensington

It is extremely hard to find someone good who isn’t absolutely on another planet with what they expect in terms of salary etc. I had people telling me £10k a month is acceptable salary for them 😂 What hours are you looking for? Live in or live out? I have a good nanny now maybe she knows someone.

@Nour it is difficult to find a good nanny. I used to be a nanny in Chelsea and loved it! I do know that a lot or nannies don't want combine nannying and housekeeping, you have to think about what you need the most and whether having a Nanny and then a cleaner separately would work better for you. Thank you for your response ladies! I am basically looking for someone who can come in maybe for 5 hours in the afternoon (12-5) 5 days a week! I will be returning to work soon but I work remotely so I will be with them at home most of the time! In terms of housekeeping tasks I’d just expect them to do some light tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, taking out the trash, etc while baby is napping. Nothing major really and a separate cleaner would be definitely be coming in. Let me know please if I am asking for too much hence why it feels impossible 🙄 the hourly rate I can offer to pay would be around £16-17 per hour. I’m also in South Ken. Happy to share my specific experiences of finding a nanny if you would like to PM me but in short it is very difficult and time consuming. I don’t trust the agencies, and ultimately have had the most success posting ads on childcare.co.uk. Your budget of £16-17 p/h net sounds about right (but you’d need to pay taxes on top of that so 16-17 would be the nanny’s take home pay). We use NannyPAYE to sort out the contract and tax etc and couldn’t recommend them more highly. Your requirements around light tidying and washing kids clothing etc are all more than reasonable for a nanny so you might not need to specify housekeeper unless you want more of a proper clean for yourself or other more demanding duties. My neighbor asked if I needed a nanny and recommended a fantastic woman with over 15 years of experience. If you’re interested, I can ask for her contact information. However, her English is limited—she primarily speaks Russian and some broken English. I don’t need a nanny yet, but looking for a good housekeeper and I can’t find anyone in Chelsea.
