Have you ever had a bad experience with daycare? Mostly towards little one, not about a worker or another mom 😅. Was thinking about going back to work full time and in order to do that my baby had to go to daycare 😕😣🙁

We started at a home daycare at 13 weeks and hated it! Nothing terrible happened there, just under staffed and old school. We got into a center around 5 months old and we are still there and still love it!

A lot of sexual shit happened to me while in daycare from other kids- I would never, unless they have live feed cameras maybe To avoid daycare- my husband works during the day, and I work evenings during the week so we can just switch off

We absolutely love our daycare and so does our son!!! He’s 13 months old and has been going there since he was 3 months old. I would look for daycares that have a set of standards that they have to adhere to and see if there is a ranking system among daycares and choose a higher ranking daycare if you can afford it!! I live in PA and there is a system called Keystone Stars. Our daycare is a 4 star out of 5. My experience may be great but my co-worker’s daycare in a diff town is horrid!! Her baby got into a bucket of degreaser that they were cleaning with one day. Luckily he didn’t swallow anything. Then they put him in a dog pen because he was crawling around too much. Then he almost swallowed a pony tail holder one day. Her daycare recently went from 2 to 3 of 5 stars but in my opinion sounds like they still operate like a 2! You have to just be picky and choosy about where they go.

I used to work at a large center for over 5 years! Each state should have a licensing center that inspects daycares and makes sure they’re following rules and regulations. For example, in Oklahoma DHS has a website where you can look up all of the daycares in your area and let you see all of the licensing reports from the last 3 years, if they had any noncompliances, etc. It’s a really useful tool in letting you choose a licensed center and also see more about their group sizes, issues and regulations. Hopefully your state has one!

my son started at a church daycare in the beginning of July, he loves it! it’s pretty decent price wise, they keep us updated throughout the day and he has playtime outdoors!
