When you give birth, focus on soups. Soups will help you heal in multiple ways. Digestive is the main focus as your organs will begin to heal themselves for the next two years. If your gut is cleansed, everything else will follow. Less hassle in the kitchen as you’ll be completely occupied with baby for the first three to four months.

Lentil soups are nice and easy in the instant pot and very nutritious!

I made a big batch of rotiserie chicken tortilla soup with a bunch of vegetables, I'm not a big fan of beans, but I added black beans. And that I topped it with avocado and sourcream. Instead of tortillas, I used lime tortilla chips and crumpled them on top. So good! And my mother in law made me spinach balls that I could freeze and throw them in the airfryer.

@Jenny ooo this sounds so good

In advance you can make some meat stew (potato, carrots, mushrooms, onions, garlic, thyme, meat of your choice and salt n pepper). Lentil soup is great too. Just grab some freezer bags (make sure to put the amount you eat and if you are going to share with another person). Try to have snacks, fruits, yogurt or some home made cookies (like oatmeal cookies) if you are going to breastfeed you'll be really hungry. Also I recommend eating foods rich in calcium and iron because you give part of your body stash to your baby.

For freezer meals I also like to do soups. If they have rice or pasta in them I omit it and make it on the side. They don't always reheat well. Lasagna or pasta bakes are good freezer meals. Any casseroles pretty much. For the crock pot, I do things like roast, pulled pork, Shredded chicken tacos, barbacoa. For just simple meals look up one pan meals. There are lots. We like to do one that's chicken breast, potatoes, green beans. It all goes in the same dish, melted butter and seasoning on top and bake for about an hour.

I made crockpot beef stew last week. Today I’m making a crockpot chicken pot pie/ chicken dumpling. I want chili next lol

I say soups as well. If it doesn't have cream in it, you can freeze it. I used a cupcake pan and popped those in a zip lock bag in the freezer. You can pull out 2 or 3 and microwave it for fast meals. I also made a batch of granola bars and froze those.
