State Fair

Has anyone brought their baby to the state fair? My little girl will be 5 months old and I'm thinking it could be fun but I don't know if she's too little?

My baby was 5 months when we went recently and it went well she rode in her stroller, picked a duck from the pick a duck game and got a little stuffed animal, and looked at animals in the petting zoo. Overall she had pretty fun but I’d definitely recommend going in the evening if you can so it’s not to hot because she got really fussy towards the end

I wouldn't do it pueblo Colorado is obnoxiously hot I used to sell in that fair it's hot hot hot with no shade anywhere

I flew with my baby to Florida at 3 months, took her to a baseball game and then a theme park. Make sure to keep them out of the direct sun, wash your hands/use hand sanitizer more often, and give them smaller more frequent feedings to prevent dehydration. For shade and cooling we used an umbrella and a battery operated fan. We avoided a full cover because that can trap heat in. We also gave her bottles cold/chilled. If your stroller lays back all the way it helps so you can get some good naps on the go. The only other thing is going at a time where you avoid the hottest parts of the day and having an idea of what your options are for cooling down, like heading back to the car and sitting in the AC when the temp peaks for the day. Or maybe leave and go have lunch inside at a restaurant with AC for a break. The biggest thing is to remember they can’t just sweat like we can, so they also don’t tolerate heat the same.
