I'd ask for a meeting with a principal or teacher so they can go through everything with you and answer all the questions

Yes, spoke to the teacher already. I’m so used to New York public schools. I just don’t know what to expect from an Ireland public school.

Is she going into second class? I have a boy heading into second class. We're in a country school so the class is small but our school is laid back, they spend their days covering all the normal school topics, English Irish maths, some history and geography and pe a couple of times a week. The kids normally get minimal homework Monday to Thursday. Once during the school year there will be a parent teacher meeting so you can go in to chat with the teacher and they'll go through your child's school work and what they think they need to work on. But if the teacher has any concerns they would contact you at any stage. Do you have any specific questions?

She’s going to third class.

I just wonder if kids r nicer here then in New york. It is her first time in a school ever.

@Clara there are mean kids everywhere but I hope she has great experience
