Best primary schools please southend/westcliff area

I’ve heard Chalkwell school, greenways, hamstel, hinguar, and friars are good primary schools

Will he be 4 this October? In which case you should have applied way before now

My little girl starts at Chalkwell Hall I'm a few weeks and even before starting they have been fabulous! Check out Earls Hall too, this was our first choice but hard to get into as everyone wants to go! They have animals (goats etc) that the children care for. Another one I really liked was Milton Hall - they are a dedicated technology school so never ahead with their resources Personally I didn't like Blenheim, wasn't very warming xx

@Sarah for anyone 4 after 1st September 2024 the deadline to apply for schools is the 15th Jan 2025 for September 2025 start :)

@Danielle ahhhh ok that’s cool. I was thinking different because my little boy turns 4 before September 2026.

My daughter started Milton Hall last year and I love it, she’s thrived there and I have no complaints

Earls hall. My daughter is there and is going into yr 1 in September and she started and was so quiet and shy and she suffers with anxiety so struggled at the beginning of the year but the support she got from the school just by the way they’re so nurturing is amazing and she has become the most confident happiest girl ever. She is a completely different child to where she was at the beginning of the year. They’ve just got rated good in ofsted aswell. The headteacher also knows all the students by name not just the odd few or the “popular” ones but every single child and they take every issue very seriously. It’s such a good school. I’ll be sending my son there when he starts school aswell in a couple of years.
