Hi ladies. My son was due to start at a daycare in a week & half. We have just found out that its actually not a nice daycare staff wise through friends so we do not want to send him. I noticed the day care has taken first payment out. Would I still need to go his first day sign him in & out to not be charged full fee?

I know my daycare has a 4 week cancellation fee and it has to be written. You won’t have to go but I would say you would lose that money.

I’m am pretty sure if you get CCS he will need to attend his first and last day at the centre otherwise you will have to pay full fees for the time he was enrolled. You could always take him, sign him in then after 5 minutes sign him out and it should count.

Just ask the centre staff on their policy, at our centre depending on circumstances they usually advise parents that they can sign them out after half an hour. Could you sign him in and leave him for a bit to see how he settles and then make your decision from there?

What are the stories you've heard? Just putting it out there it could be quite a good centre and someone will always have something to be unhappy about
