Would you try again?

I’ve got 3 children ages 11, 8, & 2 and decided to go for one more.. I’ve had 2 miscarriages this year and I’m just unsure what to do now… I know it’s my decision but what would you do??

If it we’re me, I would keep trying but live my life as normal.

I really think it depends on if you really want another. Do you feel like your family is complete as is?

@Dakotah I did, our first miscarriage was a surprise but we were delighted and then after the first miscarriage we both said we would absolutely try again.. never expected to have a second miscarriage.. and now I’m just torn.. I feel like something is missing but at the same time I’m terrified to go through another miscarriage 😢

I’m so sorry you had to go through that 😢 I had a miscarriage last week and I have the same fears as you in trying to get pregnant again. My husband and I want to try but you’re right, I don’t know what we would decide if we had another miscarriage back to back. It’s such a hard decision to make, we only have one child right now that’s 2 years old and we always saw ourselves having at least two. :(

@Dakotah so sorry you are going through this too 😢 ours was just last week also, and the other was in March, so I’ve felt like I haven’t grieved for the first one properly then was so happy to see a healthy heartbeat this time then nothing last week.. just so unfair! I’m just so stuck on what to do now x

I’m so sorry 😢 It really is unfair. It’s even harder when we see people having their pregnancy announcements and we wonder why that can’t be us as well. My sister in law is pregnant at the same time as me and I just couldn’t bring myself to go to her gender reveal party a few days ago. She understood though which I’m thankful for.

I guess I'd do what I did before I got pregnant with my son I stopped tracking and trying to get pregnant I also wasn't on birth control. I tried not to think about it at all and focus on other things in life

I've had 2 horrible misscariages so we've decided not to keep trying for a 2nd as me and my husband don't have the mental capacity to try again and we font want to risk my health to the point I might not be here in the future. It's everyone's individual perspective and also how much the misscariages you had affected your mental and physical health. You have 3 beautiful children already. I only ever wanted 2 so if I had 2 children I'd 100% not put myself threw it again but each person's dreams and family goals are personal to them. You've got to do what sits right for you and your husband/partner.
