Potty training

Are people starting to think about potty training now we’re creeping up to our babies second birthdays? Or far to early? Or has anyone done and completed already?

We’re getting bits ready for our son but we’ve just had another child so once he’s more settled and adjusted with her we’re going to try to transition to his ‘big bed’ then potty x

My LO will do wee’s on the potty but only when told to, she won’t tell us she needs it yet x

I put my girl on the potty 1st thing, before bed and after tea. She will do wee’s and poo. I try to put her in knickers for an hour or so when I’m home but I work so it’s not consistent. She’ll tell me she needs the toilet but that means she’s gone in her nappy. I’m taking it slow

We started already and in week 3 now. Wees are going OK, but poops are a bit harder, she normally tells us when some has already gone in her pants. We've gone fully no nappies from Day 1 of training. But we have a nanny so much easier to do this vs others - it's hard work!!! Haven't considered this before, but parents have to he ready for this not just kids! Carrying potties around, extra clothes, timing toilet times, being accident ready in cars, prams etc. Like a totally new stage in life!

I’m going to start in October when I’m off work for 2 weeks ☺️ that’s my plan anyway! My eldest was trained around 2.5 so that’s the sort of age I’m aiming for

We’ve started today day 1 x

My little boy started doing wees on the potty when we would leave his nappy off for a bit and was doing quite well, but then regressed a little bit and has had quite a few accidents and would wee on the floor when he had his nappy off. I'm not sure if he just got bored of peeing on the potty or is peeing on the floor purposely 😅 toddlers are so unpredictable. Anyway I have decided to take a break and try again with the potty training after his second birthday when I have some time off work x
