Working moms and workouts

When do you workout??? When does your spouse? I worked out a ton before having our son but now I feel like I can’t figure out when it’s possible.

During nap time, once LO has gone to bed for the night, or, once partner is home from work. Also weekends when partner is home x

My LO only does contact naps so I work out during playtime. She plays mostly independently and I work out right next to her while supervising her and switching things up when she gets bored.

Great question! I workout whilst brushing my teeth, when my newborn is asleep if I’m not sleeping too, & when with hubby or my mum!

When he's down for a nap and pray he doesn't wake up so I can finish and shower lol doesn't always work..I used to put him into the activity table and put it in front of the bathroom door and shower but that doesn't work very well anymore as he's getting bigger and now I try to get him to watch me if he wakes up in the middle and hope he will chill but mostly I just pray he won't get up and I can finish. It depends on the age of your baby too. I couldn't do it when he was younger.

It’s hard in the early weeks and my partner works an irregular schedule. But I got a rowing machine which I try to use when she goes down for the night around 8, but I find that I have to do it right away or I’ll get too tired 😅

I workout during lunch while at work! I love that it doesn’t take away any time from home because I feel like I’m struggling with keeping up with housework and kids’ schedules 😵‍💫

Baby used to love Baby wearing workouts (there are loads on YouTube) when he was smaller and he would sometimes even nap on my chest during the workout. Now that he can sit on his own (he's 9 months), I workout while he plays. Also, twice a week, I get his dad to take him out for a walk while I go to my Jui Jitsu class right before dinner (I leave everything ready) which is the only "me" time I get now.

I train whilst baby is playing (after I've met all his needs ofc, less likely going to bother with me), or once baby gone sleep for the night. Whereas other half trains in evenings after work

We are night owls so he has his workout when I’m putting toddler/baby to bed and he passes me the weights as I come out of the room. Then he’ll do some house chores clean up pack up lock up, and he’ll make me a coffee an hr later and we settle down on the couch for some series together. I also go salsa dancing on Friday nights which are my breaks but def counts as a workout lol.
